I get good advice from my lawyer and accountant. Do I need you? The role of your lawyer is to assist you on legal matters. The role of your accountant is to assist you on accounting matters. Each may have important parts of your picture, and we provide a third, complementary role. For example, determining an appropriate estate division amongst the various children is often the most emotionally draining aspect of estate planning for business owners. Our process and information-gathering requires us to look at the whole picture, to understand your purposes before we develop strategies to move you towards your goals. We often find we also can support various tax-driven strategies the other advisors may not be aware of. We work with your lawyer, accountant and you as part of your team to come up with the solutions that suit you best.
