My wife and I are 70 years old and we have our wills. Is there any other planning to do? In addition to wills you may consider having powers of attorney appointing each other as attorney and possibly one or more of your children as alternate attorneys in the event of incapacity. If you are starting to show signs of diminishing capacity, you may consider a representation agreement for the management of your daily care and financial affairs.

Appropriate asset allocation is also very important at this stage of life. It is an important part of good planning that assets are safe, generate a good return and flow to the estate with minimal taxes and trouble. We assist our clients in supporting safe, appropriate, and efficient investments.
